Salem Doom requested entrance into the OFL in 2000. The OFL allowed them to play a full probationary schedule for that season. However, after the second game of their season, the OFL dropped the team and its ownership from the schedule due to detrimental conduct of its members. The Doom never played another game.

The Doom had great players, but they were out of control. No discipline. Doom had high hope that they would run the table in the OFL. The Doom came to Medford to play the Rogue Warriors and left with a 20-6 loss. One of the Doom coaches stepped on the field during Warriors kickoff after a 3rd quarter score and clothes lines our player. Our game film you can only see the player right before the hit, then the camera goes back after the player gets up and tries to get at the coach.... BAD NEWS.. But OFL took care of biz and dropped them.
Good luck to all teams this season in the GNFA, and Good luck Heath and the Monarchs.
