The Sabercats existed from 2005-2008. In those four years they posted records of 2-8, 2-6 ( or 1-6 if you dont count the last week of the season , which for some ridiculous reason the EFL did not), 4-4 and 3-5.
The Sabercats were owned by Dean Carr. Former coaches of the Sabercats included Chris Chandler (05-part 06, quit after a game in mid season), Dean Car 06-08. Eugene Burgess also assisted in coaching the Sabercats in 2007 when they posted a 4-4 record , missing the playoffs because of a loss to the State Line Miners in the last week of the season.
In 2009 the Sabercats were sold to Eugene Burgess and his group. They also took over the State Line Miners. These two teams are now the Spokane Wolfpack.
The Sabercats had several unique claims like the highest youtube following of any EFL team. This was in large part to a 20 yard TD run by OL/DL Derek Schluter (350 + lbs) from the HB position. Many of the videos have been taken down due to youtubes copyright infringement policy. A large archieve of Sabercat film is still around ( message me if you are interested in getting it).
The all time leaders from the Spokane Sabercats are as follows:
Tackles: Jon Villaro 109.5 Scott Word 64
